My experience with Good Brothers Group has included the construction of three Pete Bossley Architects designed houses in Auckland over the past 18 years, two alongside each other on the waterfront in Westmere and the third on the slopes of Mt Hobson in Remuera.
As luxury bespoke houses, they have each been complex and demanded a high standard of construction. Under the experienced, practical and competent leadership of Managing Director Cameron Cunningham, and managed by competent site managers, each project was completed to the necessary high standard, within the expected time and according to the ongoing cost indications provided by the Group’s Quantity Surveyor. We first contracted Good Bros. 12 years ago to build our family beach house up at Omaha. The project was completed to a very high standard in 2012 and has handled the harsh ocean conditions up there remarkably well. Any time we have had any issue whatsoever, Cameron and his team have rectified the matter in very short order; with no fuss.
When we decided in 2019 to build our new home in Auckland, we had no hesitation in awarding the full construction contract to Good Bros. The project is highly complex with many specialist consultants involved along with a rigorous timeline of 30 months. Despite disruptions due to COVID-19 the project is running extremely well. Cameron and his on-site team are diligent, high energy and have the requisite skills/experience to ensure our home is everything we have planned for.
We have no hesitation in recommending Good Bros. to deliver top-drawer outcomes in the residential industry across New Zealand .
Good Bros were involved in our build from a very early stage. Right away they brought ideas around efficiency and build-ability that made things easier.

Testament to my experience in building a 600m2 home at Matakana and also a 60m2 Minor Dwelling in Victoria Ave Remuera. Like many people Matakana was the first main home I had built.
Personally I regard Good Brothers Group have a "down to earth" approach with a responsibility for their word and their workmanship. This was important with regard to the language between Architects and building professionals and me the layman. Our Matakana house was an architectural challenge, being built of Boardform concrete , Te Kuiti stone, Corten steel and glass. When quoting, the guy from G.J.Gardner Homes was last seen at pace East of Murapara muttering inaudible obscenities. The Matakana house was built 2019-20 during the middle of the "building boom". The value for me with Good Bros was the relationship and quality of their "Subbies". Relationships built over many years and with mutual respect of knowledge and craftsmanship. It was reassuring that no holdups occurred because of "No-Show" subbies. The quality of the workmanship with the many materials in the interior, with French and American Oak, granite and imported stone,high ceilings and matching the indoors to the outside areas.Being a new home we have had lots of compliments and remarks (from those in the trade) re the craftsmanship of the build.The house is a pleasure everyday! I would highly recommend Good Brothers if you are building, they have many attributes but top of my list was trust and their responsibility to me as their client.
We were very fortunate to have Good Bros with Cameron build our home in 2012. Cameron was also there for us.
Very approachable, solves problems, and gets the job done. Currently at the end of major maintenance. Once again Cameron has made it happen. We recommend Cameron highly. If you want the best, Cameron and Good Bros are the best.
Over the last 20 years we have built two new homes with Good Brothers, both were complicated challenging projects, and despite this they were completed on time and on budget.
Good Brothers have the skill and capacity to undertake work many builders couldn’t even contemplate. Their post construction follow up and service is outstanding and the teams working on our jobs were always polite and pleasant to be around.
